General Information On Acanya
Acanya is a topical gel used to treat acne. The generic name of this drug is Benzoyl Peroxide and Cindamycin—both of which are active ingredients in this gel. In addition to these two, Acanya also contains the following inactive ingredients: carbomer 980, purified water, potassium hydroxide, and propylene glycol. This drug should not be used in children aged 12 years or younger.
Side Effects for Acanya
You may experience the following less serious side effects after you apply Acanya: mild stinging or burning sensation, redness, or itching. These symptoms are temporary and should dissipate on their own within a few days. In case any of the aforementioned symptoms persist for a long time, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
Some patients may experience the following serious side effects after using this drug: watery or bloody diarrhea, severe redness, stinging, or burning in the treated area. You should consult your doctor if you experience any of the aforementioned symptoms.
In rare cases, Acanya may cause an allergic reaction. If you see any signs of an allergic reaction, you need to seek immediate medical help and stop using this topical gel. Signs of allergy to Acanya include difficulty in breathing, swollen face, tongue, throat or lips, hives and rashes.

Precautions
