Activella is used by post-menopausal women for the purposes of replacing estrogen. This drug is a plant based hormone that appears to mimic the activities of human estrogen better than similar compounds isolated from horses. Individuals that have a family or personal history of ovarian cancer may also be well served by avoiding Estradiol.
