General Information On Aggrastat

Aggrastat is used usually as a means to prevent blood platelets from clumping together. The main component in Aggrastat is a chemical called tirofiban, which prevents blood from coagulating. In most cases, it is used for people who have severe heart conditions, chest pains, blood clots in important arteries, and during a surgical procedure called angioplasty. It is also used in the treatment of some kinds of thrombosis, and for the targeted removal of blood clots. Particular care should be taken when you buy Aggrastat, because in addition to preventing unwanted blood clots, it will also make you bleed profusely even from minor cuts and wounds.

Side Effects for Aggrastat

More often than not, Aggrastat is not associated with severe side effects that require urgent medical attention. Commonly experienced side effects include conditions like sore throat, headaches, dizziness, nausea, and pain in the stomach and back. You do not need to worry much about these symptoms, as they disappear over time and do not develop into something more serious. Since this medication is usually administered in a clinic, there is little chance of anything going wrong.

However, in certain cases, severe and serious complications may arise due to the use of Aggrastat. These may include weakness, fatigue, severe headaches, problems with balance, vision, or speech, fever, chest pains and bleeding which does not stop naturally. If any of these symptoms occur, your doctor should be contacted immediately, and preventive measures should be taken to mitigate these symptoms. Special care should also be taken to avoid injuries or infections after taking Aggrastat.

Precautions

For people who are allergic to Tirofiban and other similar drugs, the use of Aggrastat is strictly not recommended. Aggrastat Dosage

Interactions

Some other drugs can have powerful interactions with Aggrastat, and its use should be closely monitored and supervised by medical personnel. Tirofiban has been known to react with other drugs like Tamoxifen, Fluvastatin, and Torsemide. For people who are already taking blood-thinning medications like heparin, warfarin, enoxaparin, and danaparoid, the use of Aggrastat may not be recommended.
