General Information On Bystolic
Bystolic is an FDA approved beta-blocker and is used to treat hypertension. It works by slowing the heartbeat and reducing the amount of blood pumped out. Bystolic is made from Nebivolol and can be used as a standalone drug or can be used in combination with other drugs. Consult a doctor before starting Bystolic, if you suffer from asthma, liver or kidney disease or diabetes. Bystolic is required to be taken once a day, with or without food. Incidences of fatigue and dizziness have been reported by up to 5 percent and 4 percent patients respectively. Potentially serious side effects of Nebivolol include a slow heart rate and difficult or painful breathing. It may also cause Gout or high cholesterol. In such cases, you should consult your doctor immediately. However, only a few patients need to stop taking their generic Bystolic medication as a result. Abrupt cessation of drug intake should be avoided.
