Claritin D is a combination drug. It is closely related to a group of drugs called tri-cyclic anti-depressants (TCAs) with respect to its structure. Also the drug is related distantly to atypical anti-psychotic group of drugs. Also it is a 2nd generation anti-histamine drug. The drug is available in the form of extended release tablets. It is used to relieve and treat the symptoms associated with seasonal allergic-rhinitis. It helps in relieving the nasal congestion caused due to rhinitis.
