General Information On Combigan
Combigan is an alpha-adrenergic receptor agonist and contains Brimonidine. This drug reduces the pressure in the eye by decreasing the amount of fluid. Combigan is used to treat ocular hypertension i.e. high pressure inside the eye. The drug is also used for treating glaucoma. Combigan comes in 0.2%/0.5% potency. The recommended dosage for Combigan 0.2% is one drop in the affected eye(s) twice daily. The drops should be administered 12 hours apart. Combigan is available in white opaque plastic bottles and tips. It also has blue high impact caps. The solution should be stored between 59 to 77 degree Fahrenheit.
Side Effects/Precautions for Combigan
Combigan may lead to different side effects in different patients. The most common side effects of the Combigan drug are conjunctival hyperemia, allergic conjunctivitis, stinging, conjunctival folliculosis, eye pruritus and ocular burning. 5% to 15% of those who have used generic Combigan have complained of these symptoms. Further, 1% to 5% of patients have also complained of eyelid edema, eyelid pruritus, superficial puctate keratitis, oral dryness and visual disturbance.
