General Information On Denavir
Denavir is a topical cream used to treat cold sores. This drug fall under the category of drugs known as antivirals. Penciclovir (generic name of this medicine) works by stalling the growth of the virus that causes cold sores and herpes simplex type 1.
Patients should apply this cream as soon as they notice signs of a cold sore. Denavir provides relief from the symptoms of cold sores such as burning, tingling, itching, and pain. It does not cure cold sores or prevent future occurrences.
Side Effects for Denavir
