General Information On Diacomit
Diacomit is used for the treatment of severe myoclonic epilepsy in infancy (SMEI). This is a very rare form of epilepsy that affects young children. SEMI is also sometimes referred as Dravet’s syndrome.
Typically, this medicine is used with other medications such as valproate and clobazam to treat SMEI. Diacomit is classified as an ‘orphan medicine’, a term used for medicines that are used to treat very rare diseases. This drug is administered orally and its generic name is Stiripentol. Diacomit is available in the form of capsules, as well as sachets.
Side Effects for Diacomit
