Differin Cream is used to treat acne, a disorder of the pilosebaceous unit that is marked by the appearance of pimples, blackheads, and whiteheads. This drug works by helping the skin cells renew themselves at a faster rate and reducing inflammation and swelling. The generic name of this topical cream is Adapalene and it falls under the category of drugs known as retinoids.
