General Information On EMLA Cream
EMLA Cream is an anesthetic that is used to prevent pain. This medication is used prior to certain procedures like skin grafts, skin laser surgery and insertion of IV lines. This medication is only meant for the skin and should not be used on any other part of the body. This drug should be applied at a proper time as advised by your doctor. This drug should be applied for at least one hour before your medical procedure. Your doctor will clean the area thoroughly before applying this cream.
Side Effects / Precautions for EMLA Cream
Using EMLA Cream or Lidocaine W/ Prilocaine Topical cream may lead to redness, tingling and lightening of the skin. These are common side effects but if they persist contact your doctor immediately.
