General Information On Eloxatin
Eloxatin is a chemotherapy drug that is only administered by certified medical professionals. It is used to effectively treat certain types of cancers like rectum and colon cancer. Bolus dose recommended is 5-FU reduced by 20% (300 mg/m2 and 500 mg/m2 with infusion of 22 hours). Eloxatin dosage is reduced to 75 mg/m2 for patients who are in stage-III or advanced-stage of colon cancer, on adjuvant therapy, experiencing grade-2 neurosensory events persistently or recovering from neutropenia or thrombocytopenia.
