General Information On Exubera Insulin
Exubera Insulin is a fast acting form of insulin inhaled through the mouth. It reduces the levels of glucose in the blood. You can buy Exubera Insulin to treat both Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes in adults. A patient diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes must use Exubera Insulin with long-acting insulin. For a patient of Type 2 diabetes, Exubera Insulin may be the only medication to control blood sugar.
Side Effects for Exubera Insulin
Exubera Insulin has a common side effect of hypoglycemia or low blood sugar. The symptoms include headache, drowsiness, dizziness and confusion. Other symptoms include sweating, nausea and rapid heartbeat. If you are using Exubera Insulin, carry glucose tablets or a piece of candy in case you suffer from any of these symptoms.
Some patients may have an allergic reaction to Exubera Insulin. The symptoms include rashes, hives, itching, wheezing, rapid heartbeat, sweating, or feeling light-headed. If you suffer from these symptoms, consult your doctor immediately.
Mild side effects of Exubera Insulin include cough, a runny or stuffy nose, ear pain, dry mouth, or sore throat.
Precautions
Do not buy Exubera Insulin if you smoke or if you have recently quit smoking in the past 6 months. Exubera Insulin must also be avoided if you have a lung disease that is not controlled by other treatments or medications. Inform your doctor if you have liver disease, kidney disease or lung disorders like asthma. Exubera Insulin is also administered as part of a complete diabetic control program. This program can include diet, exercise or other medications. The medication of Exubera Insulin may also change if any aspect of the program changes. Exubera Insulin may be dangerous to an unborn child. If you are pregnant or expecting to become pregnant, inform your doctor. Exubera Insulin can also pass to a child through breast milk. Do not buy Exubera without consulting your doctor if you are breastfeeding.
Exubera Insulin Dosage
If you buy Exubera Insulin as a meal-time medication, take it more than 10 minutes before your meal. When you are on an Exubera Insulin medication, regular lung tests are needed to check for side effects. A meal-time based Exubera Insulin medication may vary between 1mg to 6mg per meal based on the weight of the patient. The dosage would be decided by the doctor on an individual basis. It would be based on the physical condition of the patient, the needs of the patient, and clinical trials with different doses of Exubera Insulin.
Exubera Insulin is available as an Inhalation Powder, with Exubera Insulin 1mg and Exubera Insulin 3mg unit dosage blisters. Different combinations of these blisters, along with an inhaler unit, are available. Examples include Exubera Kit, Exubera Combination Pack 12 and 15, and Exubera 1mg and 3mg Patient Pack.
