General Information On Faslodex
Faslodex is a medication used to treat metastatic breast cancer that requires estrogen to multiply and grow. This medication is given to postmenopausal women whose cancer has not stopped spreading after prescribing other anti-estrogen drugs. Faslodex is not a chemotherapeutic medication and cannot destroy existing cancer cells in the body.
Side Effects for Faslodex
Faslodex may cause side effects, but most people have minor or no side effects. The most common side effects of Faslodex includes abnormal skin sensations and back, joint, bone or pelvic pain. It also includes diarrhea, dizziness, hot flushes, headache, loss of appetite, swelling, redness at the injection site, and sleeplessness. Other side effects include a sore throat, stomach pain, weakness, and vomiting. Consult your doctor as soon as possible if these common side effects persist or worsen.
Severe side effects of Faslodex include chest pain, depression, fever, chills, painful and frequent urination, and redness or tenderness in the legs. Side effects can also include mental or mood changes, persistent sore throat, vaginal bleeding, and swelling of the hands and feet. If it is an allergic reaction, the side effects include rashes, hives, tightness in the chest, and swelling of the mouth, tongue, lips, and face. Precautions

You cannot buy Faslodex over the counter- it is a prescription drug. It is not a self-administered injection either- a doctor, nurse or any other healthcare provider would administer it. Faslodex is usually given once every month. Do not miss any appointments for the Faslodex injection. If you miss an appointment, inform your doctor immediately. An overdose of Faslodex is highly unlikely since it is always administered by a medical professional. If you feel that the dosage is too high, seek immediate medical help.
Interactions
Inform your doctor about all the medications you are taking before you buy Faslodex. This includes vitamins, mineral supplements, and herbal products. You must also consult him/her about over-the-counter medications that you have been using.
