General Information On Ganfort
Ganfort eye drops are used for reducing pressure within the eye. Ganfort contains Bimatoprost/Timolol Maleate. Timolol is a beta blocker and is used to block beta-receptors in various parts of the body. A continuous flow of liquid, also known as aqueous humour, maintains the pressure within the eyeball. However, in certain cases, aqueous humour builds up inside the eye and thus increases the pressure. The Ganfort drug comes in 0.5%/0/03% potency. The eye drops should be put into the affected eye(s) once a day. The eye drops should be administered preferably in the morning. Ganfort is also used for treating open angle glaucoma.
Side Effects/Precautions For Ganfort

No dose adjustments are necessary for elder patients unless other topical ophthalmic medications are used. If Ganfort Eye Drops is used with other topical medication, then administration of each medication should at least be five minutes apart. Closing the eyelid partially after administration can lower the severity of any systemic side effects.
