General Information On Humatin
Humatin (Generic name – Paromomycin) is a prescription antibiotic drug used for treating various intestinal infection problems including amoeba infection in the intestine. The drug can also be used in combination with other medicines for treating certain liver diseases. The antibacterial property of Humatin effectively kills the sensitive bacteria in the body. The drug is available in tablet form and the dosage is administered orally.
Side Effects for Humatin
Humatin has the potential to cause some side effects. While some patients using this drug may suffer mild side effects, others may experience no side effects whatsoever. Only in rare cases, this drug is known to cause severe side effects.
The minor and most common side effects of Humatin are – skin itching, mild diarrhea, vomiting and mild nausea. Although these side effects are mostly minor, sometimes they may become bothersome. If any of the above side effects persist or cause great discomfort, you must inform your doctor the same. Your doctor may prescribe you other medicine or alter the dosage of Humatin to counter the side effects.
The other lesser known and severe side effects of Humatin are – severe allergic (symptoms – breathing difficulties, swelling in the tongue, lips or face, and hives), impaired hearing, urinating less than usual or pain while urinating, and dizziness. Humatin Dosage
