General Information On Hycamtin
Hycamtin is a semi-synthetic derivative of camptothecin and is used in the treatment of tumors. The Hycamtin drug is used for the treatment of metastatic carcinoma of the ovary, if initial or subsequent chemotherapy does not prove effective. It is also used to treat small cell lung cancer sensitive disease after failure of first-line chemotherapy. Hycamtin contains Topotecan and is also used for treating stage IV-B, recurrent or persistent carcinoma of the cervix, if it is not treatable by curative treatment of surgery and/or radiation therapy.
