Indocin SR is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug used to treat pain and/or inflammation caused by conditions such as tendinitis, rheumatoid arthritis, bursitis, gouty arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and osteoarthritis. This medicine works by blocking the enzyme (cyclooxygenase) responsible for the formation of prostaglandin, a hormone that causes inflammation and pain.
