Side Effects for Insultard Insulin Cartridge
This medicine may cause hypoglycemia (a condition resulting from low blood sugar) in some patients. Some patients taking Insultard may experience local allergic reactions such as redness, itching, and swelling. The allergic reactions generally disappear as your body gets used to the insulin. Some people may also experience pain and bruising at the injection site. You should immediately call your doctor if the allergy spreads to other parts of the body. Some side effects such as visual disturbances occur very rarely during the initial period of treatment. Precautions
You should not use Insultard Insulin Cartridges if you are allergic to human insulin (rDNA) or any ingredients in it. You should avoid taking insulin injections at the same site as it may result in the formation of lumps underneath the skin. You can prevent this by choosing a different injection site within the same region of your body. You should inform your doctor if you have an impairment of the kidney, adrenal gland, liver, thyroid, or pituitary glands as he/she may have to adjust the dose to suit your specific conditions.
