General Information on Invanz Injection
Invanz injection is an antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections. The generic name of this antibiotic is Ertapenem, which belongs to the antibiotics class called Carbapenems. The antibiotic cures infections by killing the bacteria that cause them. Invanz injection is recommended to treat a variety of severe bacterial infections of the lungs, skin, stomach, pelvis, and urinary tract.
It is also used to treat diabetic foot infections in patients having chronic bone infection and to prevent infections in particular types of surgery. You may have to buy Invanz injection if you are unable to tolerate other antibiotics or if other antibiotics are not able to cure the bacterial infection.

Some patients may also experience an allergic reaction after taking Invanz injection. You should immediately notify your doctor about any allergic reaction that you may notice after taking Invanz injection. Some of the allergic reactions of the drug that may occur are: difficulty in breathing, tightness in the chest, swelling of the mouth, tongue, face, or lips, and bloody stools.
Some patients may also experience chest pain, rapid heartbeat, chills, fever, sore throat, redness or swelling at the injection site, severe cramps, or stomach pain. Women may experience unusual vaginal discharge or odor after taking the Invanz injection. These side effects and allergic reactions are serious and need medical attention. You should inform your doctor if you have any allergies or are allergic to Cephalosporins, penicillin, or any amide-type local anaesthetics such as Lidocaine. Discuss your medical history with your doctor before taking Invanz. Your doctor will need to know if you have suffered from a head injury, brain disorder, tumor, any stomach or intestinal diseases, or any kidney disease before prescribing Invanz injection. Pregnant women should inform their doctor before they buy Invanz injection to cure bacterial infections.
For patients who are 13 years or older, the dosage is Invanz injection 1 gram once a day. For younger patients, in the age group 3 months to 12 years, dosage is Invanz injection 15mg, twice a day. Dosage should never increase 1g per day. Intravenous infusion of the injection can be taken for up to 14 days and or it be taken as an intramuscular injection for 7 days. Intravenously the injection needs to be infused over a period of half an hour (30 minutes)
The drug may not interact well with other medications you take and can cause serious side effects. Therefore, it is necessary that you tell your doctor about every medication you take. You should not arbitrarily make a decision to start, stop or change the dosage of other medications after taking an Invanz injection in fear of suffering from the side effects. The antibiotic may interact with other drugs such as Probenecid, live bacterial vaccines, and Valproic acid/Divalproate. Invanz may also reduce the effectiveness of hormonal birth control pills.
