Lovenox Injection is a blood thinner that is specifically used to treat deep vein thrombosis. This medication reduces the ability of your blood to form clots. This condition is usually outpatient and can be treated at home. However, the presence of a pulmonary embolism warrants a hospital stay and the dosage in that case is 1.5 mg/kg taken once a day.
