General Information On Maxitrol Eye Suspension
An anti-infective steroid combination, Maxitrol Eye Suspension is administered topically to treat bacterial eye infections. This medicine contains three main ingredients: Neomycin, Polymyxin B, and Dexamethasone. The first two ingredients, Neomycin and Polymyxin B, are antibiotics. Dexamethasone, which is the third constituent, is a steroid. The generic name of this drug is Neomycin, Polymyxin B, and Dexamethasone Ophthalmic. Each ml of this medication contains: Polymyxin B Sulphate – 6,000 units, Neomycin Sulphate – 3,500 units, and Dexamethasone – 1mg. This drug can also be used to treat medical conditions that are not listed above.
Side Effects for Maxitrol Eye Suspension
You may experience some side effects during your treatment. With that said, it is essential to iterate here that Neomycin, Polymyxin B, and Dexamethasone Ophthalmic rarely, if ever, cause a serious side effect. Common but mild side effects of this topical medicine include mild irritation, burning, itching, redness, or a stinging sensation in the eye. In addition to the above, some patients may experience increased sensitivity to light, eyelid swelling, or blurred vision. Precautions

Interactions
