General Information on Mifeprex

Mifeprex is used along with Misoprostol in order to abort an early pregnancy (within 49 days from the start of the last menstrual period). Mifeprex is strictly a prescription drug. It should be taken only under the supervision of a physician who is able to accurately access the gestational age of the embryo. The physician should also be capable of providing necessary medical assistance in case of incomplete abortion or severe bleeding. Three 200 mg tablets (600 mg) of Mifeprex have to be taken orally at a time on day one.
