General Information on Mirapex ER
Mirapex ER extended-release tablets are used in the treatment of early idiopathic Parkinson's disease. However, these tablets cannot be used for the treatment of advanced Parkinson's disease. Mirapex ER is available in 0.375mg, 0.75mg, 1.5mg, 3mg and 4.5mg. These tablets have to be taken once daily and can be taken with or without food. Mirapex ER was approved by FDA in February, 2010 because the clinical trials showed that this medication resulted in an improvement in patients suffering from early Parkinson's disease even with a single dose.
Side Effects / Precautions for Mirapex ER
Since Mirapex ER (Pramipexole Dihydrochloride) may cause sleepiness, you have to be cautious while taking this medicine and doing daily activities like driving, working with tools, taking care of children etc (all chores that require you to be active).
