General Information On Mydfrin
Mydfrin is an over the counter drug that is used to relieve burning, redness, dryness and irritation of the eye. This may be a result of minor irritants or the sun or wind. The medication is also used for constricting the blood vessels in the eye for conditions like glaucoma, if recommended by your physician. It may also be used before surgeries or eye examinations but only under the direction of a physician.
Side Effects for Mydfrin
An allergic reaction to Mydfrin is rare and it is characterized by the presence of hives, difficulty in breathing, closing of the throat and swelling of the face, lips or tongue. Stop taking the medication and seek emergency medical help if you face any of the side effects of an allergic reaction.
Minor side effects may also occur at times. These include burning, pain, increased redness or stinging of the eye, blurred vision, nervousness, sweating, headache, nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and tremors. Consult your doctor if these side effects persist or if they become bothersome.
A few rare, but severe, side effects may occur when you buy Mydfrin. These include a fast or irregular heart rate, and high blood pressure. High blood pressure is characterized by blurred vision, flushed skin and severe headache. Seek immediate help from a doctor if you face any of these side effects.
Precautions
Do not buy Mydfrin as an over-the-counter medication if you have glaucoma. Also, don’t use this medication after an eye surgery, for an eye exam, for an eye injury or for the normal tearing of the eyes. Unless you have been prescribed Mydfrin by your doctor, do not take it under any of these circumstances. It may lead to the absorption of the drug into the body, which can adversely affect the heart. Inform your doctor beforehand if you have a heart condition and if you take medications for it. Inform your doctor if you have medical conditions like asthma, thyroid problems or diabetes. If you have these conditions, you may not able take Mydfrin. If you are prescribed this medication by your doctor, you may require a specialized dosage requirement or monitoring equipment.
Mydfrin may or may not be dangerous for an unborn child. It is best to consult your doctor if you are pregnant or if you could become pregnant during the course of the treatment. Do not take Mydfrin without first consulting your doctor if you are breast feeding.
Mydfrin Dosage
Mydfrin is administered as eye drops. Clean your hands before and after you administer the eye drops. Take the medications as prescribed by the doctor.
Remove your contact lenses before you apply Mydfrin. Inquire with your doctor if you can reinsert the lenses after applying the medication. This is because Mydfrin may cause the discoloration of your contact lenses.
For applying the eye drops, look upwards and then pull your lower eyelid down. Place the dropper over the eye and then squeeze a drop into the eye.

Medications with a monoamine oxidase inhibitor or beta-blocker may interact with Mydfrin. Inform your doctor about all the medications you take before you buy Mydfrin. This includes medications like Isocarboxacid, Propranolol, Labetalol and Phenelzine.
