General Information on Nitoman
The active ingredient in the drug Nitoman is Tetrabenazine. The drug is primarily prescribed to patients suffering from movement disorders. This includes both categories of patients who suffer from disorders related to the nervous system such as Huntington’s disease, Tourette’s syndrome, Tic, and senile chorea, as well as disorders that are a result of antipsychotic drugs. Tetrabenazine belongs to the group of drugs referred to as monoamine depleting agents. It helps in reducing movement in patients who suffer from abnormally increased movement problems. It does this by reducing the levels of monoamines in the body.
Nitoman Side Effects
Some of the adverse reactions that are experienced by most patients using Nitoman are: a feeling of nervousness or anxiety, drowsiness, confusion, dizziness, restlessness, sleep disorders, weakness, fatigue, low blood pressure, disturbance in the gastrointestinal system such as diarrhea, pain in abdomen, constipation, and nausea/vomiting.
