General Information On Optivar

Optivar drops are used to treat itching of the eye caused mainly due to allergies. It is a first line of treatment, used for mild to moderate symptoms of a condition called allergic conjunctivitis. Optivar belongs to class of drugs called anti histamines, blocking allergic symptoms producing compounds called histamines. It is generally recommended for children and adults aged 12 and above.

The 6 ml solution is available in a 10 ml container, whereas the 0.2 ml solution comes in a 1 ml single use container. The 6 ml container should be stored upright at the temperature between 36 degrees and 77 degrees Fahrenheit. 0.2 ml container should be stored at a temperature between 68 degrees and 77 degrees Fahrenheit. Optivar should be used within one month of its initial opening. However, it should be discarded earlier if the expiration date is reached. The container must be discarded immediately after use.
