Ospolot is used to control epileptic seizures. It is mostly prescribed for children. It belongs to a class of drugs called Sulphonamides which restrict the enzyme carbonic anahydrase from performing its catalysis reactions. This has the effect of preventing the production of convulsion triggering chemicals in the brain.

Ospolot or Sulthiame can cause several side effects including headaches, feeling of numbness and a tingling sensation in the hands and feet.
