General Information On Prolia

Prolia is an injectable drug that is used for treating osteoporosis in post menopausal women with a high risk of fractures. This drug works by increasing the strength of the bone tissue and at the same time reducing the destruction of the bone tissue. Unlike other treatments which use synthesized from chemicals, Prolia is a biologic drug that is genetically engineered from a human protein. After the first dosage, the injection has to be scheduled once every six months, calculated from the date of the last injection.
