Teveten Plus is used to treat high blood pressure and belongs to a class of drugs called Angiotensin II receptor antagonists. It works by blocking angiotensin receptors. Angiotensin is a protein that causes a restriction of blood vessels in order to increase blood pressure. By preventing this protein from becoming effective, the Teveten Plus drug prevents blood vessels from constricting and reduces the production of aldosterone and vasopressin, two hormones that also contribute to increasing blood pressure.
