General Information on Truvada

Truvada is a potent medication prescribed by doctors worldwide for HIV. Truvada falls in the category of HIV medications referred to as nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors (NRITIs). The drug works by changing the structure of genetic material found in the CD4 cells. This change of genetic s structure prevents CD4 cells from growing and reproducing more new cells and viruses that cause HIV.
