General Information On Vectical
Vectical ointment is used to treat mild to moderate plaque psoriasis in adults (18 years and older). The generic name of the drug is Calcitriol. The medication is a form of Vitamin D, which works to slow down the growth of skin cells. Vectical is effective in the treatment of psoriasis because it works at a cellular level to curb the overproduction of skin cells, which is the primary cause of psoriasis. The medication is also known to reduce the excessive immune response of the skin of patients who have psoriatic lesions. This ointment may cause side effects, so it is imperative that you consult your doctor before you buy Vectical.
Side Effects for Vectical
Some people may experience side effects such as itching or discomfort in the area of application. These side effects are common, but if they persist for 3 – 5 days, you should immediately consult your doctor. Vectical may increase the calcium levels in your blood.
