General Information on Xibrom
Xibrom is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). Xibrom eye drops are used to treat swelling and pain in the eyes in patients who have recently undergone surgery to remove cataract. It acts by stopping the production of prostaglandin, a compound that causes inflammation of eyes.
Side Effects/Precautions For Xibrom
When you are on Xibrom, also known as Bromfenac Sodium, you may experience certain side effects like difficulty in breathing, swelling of face, lips, throat or tongue. In case you experience change in vision inform your doctor at once. Other less serious side effects may include headache, eye pain, redness in the eyes, itching or a sensation that something is in your eye. Xibrom drug may impair your vision. One drop of Xibrom ophthalmic solution needs to be applied to the affected eyes of the patient two times every day. This dosage should effectively start 24 hours after the cataract surgery and should be continued for a period of 2 weeks.
