General Information On Xopenex
Xopenex is an inhaling solution prescribed to treat shortness of breath and wheezing due to lung problems such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and asthma. The generic name of the drug is Levalbuterol HCl. It is a bronchodilator which opens the breathing passages and lets the patient breathe easily. The medication is supplied as an inhaler as well as a 3ml dose vial which is used with a nebulizer. You can buy Xopenex and use it only after consulting your doctor and getting a prescription.
Side Effects for Xopenex
Xopenex may cause mild to severe side effects. Every individual has different body chemistry; some may experience side effects, while others may not experience any side effects at all after using Xopenex. Nervousness, dizziness, dry mouth, stomach upset, runny nose, diarrhea, trouble sleeping, and shaking are some of the common side effects associated with the drug. Attach the nebulizer reservoir to a face mask or mouth piece and connect it to the compressor. Sit in an upright position and cover your mouth/face completely with a face mask. Push the compressor and breathe in slowly until all the medication in nebulizer reservoir is inhaled. You should not exceed the Xopenex dosage recommended by your doctor.
Interactions
Certain drugs interact with each other and cause mild to severe side effects. Xopenex may react with medicines such as beta blockers, tricyclic antidepressants, Monoamine Oxidase inhibitors, diuretics, Digoxin, other inhaled bronchodilators, diet pills, decongestants, and caffeine. Your doctor should be made aware of any other medicines you are taking before he or she prescribes Xopenex. Tell your doctor about every drug you’re taking at present, which includes prescription medicines, over the counter drugs, and herbal supplements.
