General Information On Yasmin
Yasmin is used for the prevention of pregnancy. It prevents ovulation and causes changes in the cervical and uterus lining of a female thereby making it very difficult for a sperm to reach the uterus and a fertilized egg to attach itself to the uterus. It is also used for the treatment of moderate acne in females above 14 years of age (or females who have started their menstrual cycle) and who want to use contraceptives for birth control to avoid pregnancy. Yasmin is also used for the treatment of premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD), which includes depression, anxiety, irritability, lack of energy, trouble concentrating, lack of sleep or appetite, joint or muscle pain, breast tenderness, weight gain or headache.
