General Information On Ziana
Ziana is a medication used for treating severe nodular acne among adults and children above the age of 12. The generic names of this drug are clindamycin and tretinoin, and it is a combination of two types of medicines- antibiotic and retinoid. You can buy Ziana as a topical gel, which treats nodular acne by lowering the amount of oil that the sebaceous glands of the skin release. It also helps the skin renew itself faster. Ziana may also be used for other purposes if it has been specifically prescribed by the doctor.
Side Effects for Ziana
Allergic reactions may occur after applying Ziana, but they are very rare. Stop applying Ziana and seek immediate medical help if you experience any of the symptoms of an allergy, which include hives, swollen lips, throat, face, or tongue, and difficulty breathing.
You must stop applying Ziana and inform your doctor as soon as possible if you suffer from serious side effects such as severe burning or stinging sensation and severe redness or peeling in the area where Ziana was administered. Other serious side effects include diarrhea and bloody or watery stools.
Mild side effects may occur, but you must inform your doctor if they worsen or persist for a long time. These less serious side effects include mild stinging sensation, itching, and dryness in the administered area, short-term darkening or lightening of the treated area, and cough, sore throat or a stuffy nose.
Precautions
You must not buy Ziana if you have a known allergy to either clindamycin or tretinoin. This medication may be absorbed by the skin, and it can cause serious side effects in your body. You must not take Ziana if you have enteritis (inflammation of the intestines), ulcerative colitis, or if you have suffered from severe diarrhea after taking an antibiotic. Ziana Dosage
You must administer Ziana as per the amount prescribed by your doctor. You must clean your hands and face with water and a mild cleanser or soap, and then pat your face dry with a clean towel before using Ziana. Do not wash your face with water more than three times a day, as excessive washing and scrubbing can worsen the acne. The recommended dosage for Ziana is once a day before you sleep. You must only use a pea-sized amount of the medication on your entire face.
Interactions
Ziana may interact with erythromycin topical or the oral form of erythromycin. You must inform your doctor if you take this antibiotic in any form, or if you take any other over-the-counter or prescription medications.
