General Information on Zirgan Eye Gel
Eye herpes patients are prescribed Zirgan Eye Gel to treat their infection. This eye gel contains Ganciclovir, which stops the growth of herpes. Even though this gel is simply a means of suppressing the infection, it helps in speeding up the healing process and decreases the risks associated with eye infections. Ganciclovir acts as an antiviral drug, which works only against eye herpes. It is not effective against other types of bacterial eye infections. Dosage

Once the eye infection subsides, the treatment is continued for another week, with three drops being used once every five hours. This is done to prevent the recurrence of the infection.
Interactions of Zirgan Eye Gel
The effects of using Zirgan Eye Gel may get altered if you are on some other medication. Inform your doctor about any other drugs you may be using, as they can also increase the chances of side effects.
