General Information On Zoladex LA
Zoladex LA is a medication prescribed for treating the symptoms of breast cancer and endometriosis in women and prostate cancer in men. Its generic name is goserelin, and it is taken as an injectable implant that releases gradually over a period of time. Zoladex LA works by overstimulating the patient’s body to produce a few particular hormones. Consequently, this causes the body to stop the production of these hormones temporarily. Zoladex LA is only taken to treat the symptoms of prostate cancer, and not to directly treat the cancer. You can also buy Zoladex LA for preparing the uterus lining for an endometrial ablation or corrective surgery for uterine bleeding.

Precautions
You must not buy Zoladex LA if you have a known allergy to goserelin or any other similar hormonal medications like ganirelix, nafarelin and leuprolide. Zoladex LA can be dangerous for an unborn child and may cause birth defects. Do not use this medication if you are pregnant, unless you have been prescribed the medication specifically for the treatment of advanced stage breast cancer. You must use an effective, non-hormonal birth control device during the time you are being treated with Zoladex LA. Inform your doctor if you have diabetes, osteoporosis, urination problems, spine problems, or conditions like high blood pressure and high cholesterol that can increase the risk of coronary artery disease.
Zoladex LA Dosage
Zoladex LA is a tiny implant with a dosage of Zoladex LA 10.8mg, and it is administered subcutaneously below the navel line into the anterior of the abdominal wall. The implant releases the drug over a period of 12 weeks, after which you must receive another dose of Zoladex LA. While you may delay each dosage by a few days, the schedule must be adhered to as much as possible.
Interactions
Zoladex LA may interact with other medications. You must inform your doctor about all the prescription drugs and over-the-counter medications that you have taken or are still taking, along with vitamin and mineral supplements and herbal products.
