General Information On Zyrtec D
Zyrtec D is a combination used for decreasing histamines effects in the human body as well as reducing congestion. The generic name of Zyrtec D is cetirizine/pseudoephedrine, and it belongs to the therapeutic class of antihistamines and decongestants. You can buy Zyrtec D in the form of oral tablets. It works by blocking histamine from getting bound to the histamine receptors. This medicine can also be used for relieving swelling and itching caused by hives or chronic urticaria. The pseudoephedrine found in Zyrtec D is a decongestant while cetirizine is an antihistamine.
Side Effects for Zyrtec D
Patients taking Zyrtec D commonly experience dizziness, tiredness, dry mouth, cough, sore throat, headache, nausea and constipation.
