Marplan is a non-selective hydrazine MAO-I (that is monoamine oxidase inhibitor), which is an anti-depressant agent. The drug is used in the treatment of depression. This target dose is 40 mg (or 4 tablets) of Marplan per day, which should be achieved by the end of 1st week of the therapy. Then the dosage may be increased by 20 mg/week; the maximum dose is 60 mg/day.
