General Information On Cedax

Cedax is an anti-bacterial medication used for treating different forms of bacterial infections in the human body. Cedax is also known by its generic name, Cefibuten belongs to a group of cephalosporin antibiotics that work by hampering the growth and spread of bacteria. You can buy Cedax in the form of both oral capsules and an oral suspension, which you can choose as per your age, individual requirements, and preferences. You need to remember that Cedax can be used only to treat bacterial infections, not viral infections.

Side Effects for Cedax

After taking Cedax, you may experience a stomach upset, headache, diarrhea, nausea, or vomiting. Most of these symptoms subside, but if any of these persist or worsen, you need to contact your doctor immediately. Some patients may also complain of dark urine, change in the frequency of urination, yellowing of the skin or eyes, joint pain, and persistent nausea or vomiting. You should inform your doctor immediately if you see signs of any new infections like persistent sore throat and fever, fast or pounding heartbeat, mental or mood changes, seizures, tiredness, or easy bleeding or bruising. In rare cases, Cedax can also cause Clostridium difficile related diarrhea, a serious condition of the intestines. You may notice this condition after weeks or months of treatment, and therefore, you should keep a watch on its symptoms, which may include stomach pain or cramping, mucus or blood in the stools, and persistent diarrhea. Using Cedax for a long period can lead to oral thrush or new yeast infection sin the vagina. You should inform your doctor at once if you see white patches inside the mouth or a change in your vaginal discharge. An allergic reaction to Cedax can be identified by hives, rashes, itching or swelling of the throat, tongue, face, or lips, severe dizziness, and trouble breathing.

Precautions

Your doctor will not recommend you to buy Cedax if you have an allergy to Cefibuten, penicillin, or any other cephalosporin antibiotics like cephalexin. You should inform your doctor if you have a medical history of kidney disease or intestinal or stomach diseases like colitis. In such circumstances, your doctor may want to conduct special tests and make special dosage adjustments in order to suit your needs. If you are breastfeeding or are pregnant, you should take Cedax only if it is clearly required and recommended by your doctor.

Cedax Dosage

Patients who are 12 years of age or older are advised to take Cedax 400mg once a day for 10 days. Children below 12 years are given Cedax 9mg/kg up to a maximum of 400mg once a day. The oral suspension of the drug contains Cedax 90mg per 5ml, and you can take as per the dosage determined by your doctor. The medicine needs to be taken with a glass of water, and if you are using the oral suspension, you should shake the bottle well before measuring the dose.
