Shipping Update – January 2022

Shipping times are now closer to normal. However, due to the latest outbreak of the highly contagious Omicron strain, we are anticipating some potential delays in our shipping times. We will provide updates as the situation changes.

Our normal shipping time averages 1 - 2 weeks. Shipments may now sometimes take an additional 2 – 4 weeks to arrive, depending on the source country of your order. Shipments from the United Kingdom and Canada are generally quicker than from other countries.

Please note that these times are averages and individual shipping times will vary. We highly recommend that you place your order at least 2 – 4 weeks or more ahead of your normal reorder time to avoid running out of your medication.

We offer a shipping guarantee when you place an order with us. If your order does not arrive within 6 weeks from the date it was shipped, we will re-ship your order to you at no additional cost.

Call Center – New Hours effective January 17, 2022

Our new call center hours of operation are now 7:00 am – 7:00 pm Central Time, seven days per week.

These changes are due to staffing issues we are experiencing caused by the highly contagious Omicron variant. We anticipate that we will expand our call center hours again within the next 2 – 3 weeks.

If you are experiencing increased hold times or are calling outside of these hours, please leave us a message or send us an email and we will get back to you as soon as we can. Due to increased demand on telephone networks worldwide, you may experience some intermittent connection problems. If this happens our agents will call you back.

General Information On Alocril Eye Drops

Alocril Eye Drops are used to treat allergic reactions in your eyes. Burning, itching, watery eyes or inflammation are all common reasons to use Alocril Eye Drops. It is recommended to place one to two drops in each eye twice a day until pollen season is over. The medicine works by stabilizing mast cells so histamine is not released and preventing excitation of eosinophils, all which cause an allergic response. The solution works after being absorbed through the nasolacrimal duct at the inner corners of the eyes. Standard dosage includes generic Alocril Eye Drops 2%.

Side Effects/Precautions for Alocril Eye Drops

The chemical component in brand or generic Alocril Eye Drops is called Nedocromil. Do not use these eye drops in your eyes if you have a fungal, viral or bacterial infection unless you are under the treatment of a doctor. While these eye drops should not harm your unborn child it is best to speak with your obstetrician first if you are pregnant. The effects of this medication while breastfeeding are unknown. Be sure not to use the Alocril Eye Drops drug for toddlers younger than three years old. There are no real serious side effects associated with Nedocromil. However, some minor side effects include headache, light sensitivity, or nasal stuffiness. The eyes can burn, itch, sting or get red. Finally, you may have a nasty taste in your mouth after using the eye drops or you could develop conjunctivitis.

Alocril Eye Drops Dosage

The standard dose for Alocril solution is either one drop or two drops. The drops are put twice daily in each eye for the treatment of allergic conjunctivitis along with itching. This ophthalmic solution must be used at equal intervals in a day. You may seek help from your healthcare provider if you require a demonstration on how to use the eye drops. You must continue using Alocril eye drops at the recommended dosage even if your eyes do not show any further symptoms. You should also continue the use of this drug when you are exposed to the allergen.
