Glumetza is an anithyperglycemic drug and is used to treat type 2 diabetes. Glumetza is a metformin long released based medicine. The Glumetza drug releases the medication in the stomach. If patients are not responding to the therapy even after 4-weeks then gradual introduction of sulfonylurea must be considered, along with the maximum dose of the drug.

What is a "Generic" medication/drug?

Because the same active ingredient is used the major concern is just that it delivers the common chemical(s) at the same rate so that they have the same effect.
