General Information On Glynase

Side Effects for Glynase

Precautions

You must take this medicine as prescribed by your doctor and should not increase or decrease the dosage without first consulting him/her. Interactions
This drug may interact with certain drugs. This is why you must tell your doctor about all the medications you are using, especially: Disopyramide, Ketoconazole, Fluconazole, Rifampin (Rifater, Rifadin, Rimactane), blood-thinning drugs, Cyclosporine, beta-blockers (such as Carvedilol, Atenolol, Metoprolol, or Propranolol).
Your chances of developing hyperglycemia increase when you take this medication with the following medicines: diuretics, thyroid medicines, isoniazid, blood pressure medicines, seizure medicines, Niacin, diet pills, or birth control pills. Your chances of developing hypoglycaemia increase if you take this medication with the following drugs: Probenecid, Clarithromycin, blood pressure medicines, Exenatide, certain nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, sulfa drugs, aspirin, or certain other diabetes medicines (such as Rosiglitazone, Metformin, Pioglitazone , Miglitol, or Acarbose).
Glynase may also interact with drugs that are not listed above. Talk to your doctor about all the medications that you are currently using.
