Lodotra is used in the treatment of active rheumatoid arthritis in adults. The drug is specifically used in the treatment of moderate to severe rheumatoid arthritis in which patient experiences acute morning stiffness. The generic name of this medication is Prednisone. The medication is available in a modified release tablet form. This means the release of the medication happens in slow and controlled manner. Prednisone belongs to a group of drugs known as corticosteroids. Corticosteroids are man-made derivatives of natural hormones that are produced by adrenal glands.
