2. Are Canadian drugs identical to the drugs that I purchase from my local pharmacy?
All brand name products are manufactured by the same companies that retain the patent rights. Sometimes, a drug may be packaged differently or it may be in a different color, shape or form. However, the chemical ingredients of brand name and generic counterpart drugs will always be identical so you can rest assured knowing that you will be buying the same molecule as expected. Our pharmacist will never change a drug without your physician's authorization.
3. What are the methods of payment? Is it safe to use my credit card?
PharmacyRxWorld.com accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express. As well, we also accept personal checks and money orders. However, the personal check must clear your bank before the medication will be shipped which may delay the arrival of your order.

4. How do Canadian medications compare in quality to that of other International medications?
The quality is virtually identical. Canada has set exceptionally high standards, a rigorous approval system and strict requirements for pharmaceutical manufacturing and the sale of brand and generic medications. Today these requirements are very similar to, and sometimes higher than, those of other industrialized countries. Pharmacy Rx World also sells medicaitons through its licensed international pharmacies with similar standards.
5. Why are prescription drugs more affordable in Canada?
The main reasons why the prices you pay for medications is less in Canada are:
(1) The Canadian government regulates the cost of prescription drugs which keeps the
prices down without exceptions;
(2) There are more generic drugs (substitutes for brand name drugs) in Canada
than in other industrialized countries which stimulates competition in the market;
(3) The Canadian Dollar is weak in comparison to the UK Pound, the Euro and the
US Dollar which gives
international customers stronger purchasing power.
6. What are your hours of operation?
PharmacyRxWorld.com is dedicated to serving the public 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Our hours of operation are: Monday to Friday - 7:00 am to Midnight (CST), Saturday - 8:00 am to 6:00 pm (CST), and Sunday - 9:30 am to 6:00 pm (CST).
7. Are the any other charges in addition to the charge for my order?
Other than shipping fees for orders under $49.00, there are no additional charges.
8. What is the shipping charge?
For orders under $49.00 there is a $9.99 shipping charge. While you may order as often as you wish, we advise that you order all of your medications in a 3 month supply at one time. This will save you additional shipping charges for each order.
9. Is there a limitation on the quantity of medications I can order at any given time?
Yes. Pharmacy RX World will only allow its customers to purchase by international mail-order up to a 90-day supply of each drug per order for personal use only. Customs has the discretionary power to allow a 90-day supply with a 90-day refill. There are no restrictions on the number of prescriptions. If your physician writes a prescription for more than a 3-month supply, PharmacyRxWorld.com's contracted pharmacies can process refill orders as they come due. You can choose to have us send you the next refill automatically just before your supply is scheduled to run out (ensuring an uninterrupted treatment), or you can advise us when to send refills. There are no restrictions on the number of types of drugs in each order.
10. Is there a limit on the type of prescriptions I can request to have filled?
Yes. To ensure that you have properly stabilized on your medications, PharmacyRxWorld.com's contracted pharmacies will only fill prescriptions for drugs that you have been taking for 30 days or more.
11. Why do the pills I received look different than the ones I get from my local pharmacy?
Firstly, if you have purchased a brand name medication and you have ordered a generic medication from us, the pills we send to you WILL LOOK DIFFERENT. Generics do not look the same as their brand name counterparts due to patent regulations enfoced on the generic manufacturers. However, they have the SAME ACTIVE INGREDIENT and work in EXACTLY THE SAME WAY.
Lastly, when comparing 2 different Generics, they WILL LOOK DIFFERENT if they are made by 2 different companies.
12. What is the expected delivery period on my medication?
The average delivery time is 7-10 business days. PharmacyRxWorld.com's contracted pharmacies strive to fill your order within two business days of receiving it. We guarantee that all shipments will arrive within 21 business days of being shipped.
12. What are Canadian generic drugs?
Canadian generic drugs are chemically identical to their brand name counterpart drug in safety, strength, and quality. We also sell generic drugs that are filled by dispensed pharmacies from other countries with similar standards.
13. Are Canadian generic drugs as safe as their brand name counterpart drugs?
Yes! In Canada, both brand name and generic drug companies' manufacturing facilities must meet the exact same high standards of good manufacturing practices. Some of the leading generic manufacturers in Canada include Apotex, Novopharm (Teva), and Genpharm.
14. Are Canadian generic drugs as effective as their brand name counterpart drugs?
Yes! Generic drugs are "bio-equivalent" to their brand name counterparts. You should always buy Canadian generic drugs whenever they are available. We also sell generic drugs through our network of contracted international pharmacies.
15. Why do Canadian generic drugs look slightly different than their brand name counterpart drugs?
Canadian trademark laws prevent generic drug manufacturers from producing their generic drugs to appear exactly like the brand name counterpart drug that is protected by Canadian trademark laws. Nonetheless, the generic drug always duplicates the active ingredient of the brand name counterpart drug.
16. Why are Canadian generic drugs so much more affordable than brand name drugs?
When a drug manufacturer develops and markets a new drug, the drug is developed under a patent, giving the drug manufacturer a monopoly over seling that particular molecule during the patent period. As such, a drug manufacturer is able to charge a lot more for a brand name drug to recover their development, research and marketing costs. As soon as the drug's patent expires, other manufacturers are allowed to produce and sell generic "bio-equivalent" versions of the previously patented brand name drug, at a lower price.
As generic manufacturers do not have the heavy financial burden of research and development costs, they are able to sell their generic drugs at a much lower price than the brand name manufacturers. Additionally, there is more competition with more products in the market which pushes the selling prices lower.
17. Are Canadian generics available for all brand name medications?
Unfortunately, no. At this time, only half of the drugs on the Canadian drug market are available for distribution as Canadian generic drugs because half of the drugs are protected by patents which allows only one company to manufacture and market them in Canada.
18. How can I buy affordable generic drugs?
When visiting your physician, ask them to write you a prescription that allows for generic substitution.
